Mega Man Dual Override Twinkle Girl

An apprentice entertainer robot who turned a fireworks show into a rampage.

Twinkle Girl

Twinkle Girl is Dual Override’s first revealed Robot Master and the face of the Gamescom 2026 demo. Capcom numbers her DWN.089. Official copy calls her an apprentice entertainer robot whose desire to perform on the main stage sparked out of control. She is now on a fireworks rampage inside a Robot Exhibition that went wrong while Dr. Light was away.

This page is the character sheet. The route and patterns live in How to beat Twinkle Girl. The rest of the grid lives in Robot Masters.

Design and firsts

Twinkle Girl is cyan-haired, red-eyed, black-and-white armored, with wing-like structures behind the head. She is the first female Robot Master since Splash Woman in Mega Man 9, and the first whose name uses Girl rather than Woman. Director Shinya Ikuta said she was the first new boss the Dual Override team made, and that the staff is attached to her. Producer comments framed her as a way to broaden who can exist in the classic series.

The stage was designed after the character, not before. Exhibition spaces and constant fireworks were built to match an entertainer who overcharges a crowd. You will see her image in decorations before you see her health bar. That cohesion is why the demo feels like a complete slice even though seven other portraits are still locked.

Motion capture is in use for every boss this time. Her liveliness is not a pixel-cycle. Fight the performance.

Stage identity

Twinkle Girl’s route is three areas:

  1. Outdoor festival and factory approach, ending on Big Press Don.
  2. Indoor exhibit with tighter platforming, ending on Astro Man R.
  3. Rooftop-style arena, ending on Twinkle Girl.

That three-act structure is Dual Override’s new habit, not a one-off. Learn it here and you will understand the Getting Started campaign loop.

Her attacks are show business with a fuse: eight-way firework bursts, dive kicks, named dashes (Jet Stream, Hatfield, Shining Star), a sparkler spin you can bait into a wall, and an Override shout on a phase change. Previewers called her a glass cannon. Deadly if you freeze, fragile if you keep shooting.

Her Special Weapon and her weakness are unlisted. Do not invent a Sparkler Shot. When Capcom names the steal, the fight guide will carry it. This bio will only note that Dual Override still uses the stolen-weapon loop.

Why she is the demo boss

A first-made boss is a statement of tone. Dual Override could have opened on a brute. It opened on a performer. That matches the brighter 2.5D art direction and the 40th-anniversary pitch. It also gives the team a female Robot Master without pretending the classic series had many.

She is not the suction-arm contest robot. That slot is separate and still un-crowned. Mixing the two is the most common roster mistake on social posts. The contest recap is the other page.

How to follow more of her

Official site portraits, the August gameplay trailer, and Gamescom direct-feed clips are the primary images. This wiki stores local screenshots rather than hotlinking them. For play advice, stay on the fight guide. For chip choice, use the chip set ranking. For who fights her, Mega Man is the demo body and Proto Man is the untested kit on this route.

Twinkle Girl is the rehearsal Robot Master. When the next portrait drops, compare whether that boss also gets a giant Area 1 enemy and an R replica. If yes, Dual Override has a formula. If not, she was the exception. Either result belongs on the news hub.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers pulled from Capcom's 2026 previews and official notes.

What number is Twinkle Girl?

DWN.089, the first Dual Override Robot Master Capcom has fully shown.

Is she the fan-contest boss?

No. The contest is a separate suction-arm Robot Master. See the contest page.

What does she steal as a weapon?

Unnamed. The fight guide will add it when Capcom publishes the steal.

Why is her stage in three parts?

Dual Override splits each Robot Master into three areas with extra bosses. It is a series-wide structure, not a Twinkle Girl gimmick. Getting Started explains the loop.

Was she hard in the demo?

Previewers often found Area 2 scarier than the boss. She hits hard and dies fast if you stay aggressive.
