Characters Hub

Mega Man Dual Override is a character sequel as much as a systems sequel. You can play as Mega Man or Proto Man. The only fully revealed Robot Master is Twinkle Girl. Seven more Capcom designs plus a fan-made suction-arm boss still sit behind silhouettes. This hub is the roster map.

If you want kits rather than bios, use the Proto Man guide and Getting Started. If you want fight routes, use Beat Twinkle Girl and Robot Masters. If you want the exhibition plot without rumor villains, use Story and plot.

Dual heroes, one incident

Official story text is short on purpose. While Dr. Light is away from the lab, robots at a Robot Exhibition go haywire. Mega Man and Proto Man have to restore the city and use Override to find out why. Roll is expected to appear. The dual in Dual Override is both two heroes and the Override system, not a two-player campaign.

Mega Man remains DLN.001: gentle, stubborn about peace, Mega Buster plus stolen Special Weapons. Proto Man remains DLN.000: scarf, shield, technical movement. Capcom’s site still marks some Proto kit screens as coming soon, which is why this wiki keeps a character page and a play guide separate.

Robot Masters in Dual Override

Classic structure returns. Eight Robot Masters, a stage-select grid, weapons stolen from losers. The twist is that each portrait hides three areas and extra bosses, including replica Robot Masters with an R suffix. Twinkle Girl’s set already showed Big Press Don and Astro Man R. That pattern is the working model for the rest of the grid.

Twinkle Girl was the first new boss the team built. Director Shinya Ikuta told Famitsu the staff is attached to her. She is the first female Robot Master since Splash Woman in Mega Man 9, and the first to use Girl in the name instead of Woman. Fireworks, dive kicks, and a show-biz origin are her whole identity.

The eighth slot is a contest robot with a giant suction arm. Six finalists were voted up in 2026. The winner is not public. Follow the contest recap instead of treating fan leaks as roster facts.

How to use these pages

Systems pages stay under Guides. Ranking pages stay under Chip Sets. Do not expect PvP tiers. Dual Override is single-player. A “best character” argument is really a best kit argument, and even that is incomplete until Proto Man’s move list ships.

Voice direction is also incomplete. Benjamin Diskin, Mega Man’s English voice in Mega Man 11, said he declined to return without a union contract. Dual Override still has time before 2027 to announce a cast. This hub will not invent one.

When Capcom drops the next Robot Master, this hub gets a child page and the news hub gets a recap. Until then, learn the two Light brothers and the fireworks girl, then wishlist Dual Override so character-select day is not a rumor.
